HAPPY 2009!

First post of the new year! ((:
so hereby wishing everyone, yes, YOU,
HAPPY NEW YEAR 2009! :D

Okay, summary of 2008 in a few seconds.
This year has its fair shares of ups and downs, to the extremes I guess.
Nevertheless, it had been a great learning experience for those sad memories and I guess this is life and we have to deal with things not going our way.
Disappointment mainly.

Be prepared, people. This is a mighty long post of if you wanna read it. hah.

well, let's get this done and over.

Studies: It have been alright this academic year, but of course the more frequent of skipping lessons! Aiming to achieve a better gpa this sem!:) Determination and plenty of perseverance. Lesser skipping of lessons! haha!

Family:Thoughts of divorce. Who were we to follow if it really happened? Totally the pits for us. The reasons are appalling. Thank god, in the end, they didn't.
On a happier note, Had been closer with cousins this year, and relatives(:
Appreciate and cherish grandmas more than never and of course, relatives. Illness, sickness, death come when you do not even know it and sometimes it comes in a painful way.
Conclusion, love and cherish!

Friends: Well, there are many types of friendships.
Superficial;common-goal kind of friendship; we-just-need-to-get-by-together friends kind of things.
It is sad, but well, we can't have everything. Some friendships are bound to get weaker and perhaps lost it:/

DBA 12: Classmates are friendly, hyper-active and amjority can get along with one another(: No problem with surviving one more year. But majority of the class is quite alright to hang out with. This class is filled with crazy people like sherlim, gyver, ckm, sam! Badminton, mini outings(plenty of thanks to Gyver and his car haha!) Know ex-classmates better like ah lam junyu, angela! (:

SB Club: gonna be 2 years of sb club. Time, committment, money. But all of these are worth it for the precious memories. Also, through SB club, I met more friends of other clubs. It was a good experience but keep forgetting their different complicated course names. Otherwise, it was alright. Long and boring council meetings. roar!

The Management Committee(MC) are pretty alright this year with some exceptions but oh well, not considered as a problem as long as the events are a success! :)) It is unfair when people did not do as much but get the same credit, but at the end of the day, we are all in this together!
I am really glad Vivian and Carrie joined us this acad year! (:
Much as anyone could deny, there are bound to be MIAs and conflicts.
Some resloved and made it up, but some are just un-noticed and left dangling there.
Different perceptives, different committment level, different duties.
Not much events for the year 2s now, now it is the year 1s turn. The whole cycle just go on.

Never regeret joining sb club although it is pratically time-consuming:D

DOC: Precious memories from the organizing comm for the FOC/FOP. 15 mad people( Lishi, carrie, edsmond, vivian, cecilia, alicia, khadijah, jocelyn, clinton, jordan, justina, darryl, natalie and lovely flora who is loyal to sb! haha) It was the long holiday breaks, and all were trying to fit in work schdules, time for friends while at the same time organizing the 2 major events of SB. Different duties for the the 2 events. Confusing and stressed up. Running everywhere to get stuff necessarily, calling up sponsors, calling up for quotations, tee shirts, campers...the list goes on. It was an essential to have handphone, and money! haha! Nevertheless, what really bonded us was the camp song singing, and cheers, dances, nightwalk trials, stayovers in schools! Totally loved this bunch of wacky people! :D how Could i forget them, NEVER(:s

sec school friends:stella, marsela, hy,aikho, samuel, sammy, sw, eugene! Is surprising we could still keep in contact despite different studying educations, JC, poly! and different poly! All those fun and laugher were never enough.
All of us know each other from sec1, and some since primary sch! :) They are very important people who kept my life going! :D part of my life. countdown together last yr, fireworks at esplanade area, summer breeze drinking session and many many more! chalet coming sooon before the guys become botak:D can't wait! <3!

lastly, ME!
SB club had really made an great impact in my life last year, 08/09. Because of SB club matters, my perception of how life should be and friendships views are different. I learnt to take things more slowly, and let go more easily. Still struggling with the last part, but it is essential skill man. No harm in holding things you know you can't have, or when you had tried your best and yet it still remains that way.

Taking up the post of SB Club's President has really taught me plenty of things. Definitely more independent and confident. When I realized all the club's Presidents are males, and majority are year3s, I feel a bit out of place.Uneasy? The only female and plus the fact I was only year2. It made me wanting to prove to people that female president won't do as badly as a male president, and being year2 is more advantage as we do not have FYP. After some time, got used to it, the guys are nice. hah. And the CLS president is now a female. haha, more females!
The President's duties, meetings. Some were like crappy and we are just like an exhibition display. Some were eye-opener, like the luncheon with Directors and the SP board governers, dialogue sessions with parents of sec4 kids. Time consuming, as most duties on sat morning, but it was really a good experience. Get to know more people, and a need to be responsible and have more knowledge like the no.of courses in SP.

Being the head must be a bad guy sometimes to get things working. Not all will like you, it is like taking a risk. Well, this is really life. The first impression is important, but the next impression must be good to sustain that first made impression. My mc is pretty cooperative compared to other clubs, so I can't complain much.

Well, I have changed to really cherish things and not taking things for granted!Like friendships and family. Establishing what I really want in life. I been thinking about that frequently. Suddenly, I feel old. Matured is a better way to describe. haha!
But seriously, I think I changed.
The rest is up to you to judge.

2009 resolutions! apart from the usuals
  1. better gpa!duh!
  2. driving license
  3. maintain friendships

something like :

learn to let go when needed. Do not live in the past.

YES, that will be about all.

ONCE AGAIN, happy new year, people! :D
